McAfee is slowing my laptop so badly that I have to restart it to stop it scanning all the fukin time. My laptop is 6 year old so I know it is now outdated. McAfee trying to put it to an early grave. You won't win McAfee.

This McAfee software is ransomware, it's nearly impossible to get rid of, the software comes preinstalled with a new computer, won't go away no matter how many times you try to uninstall it, keeps demanding money and nagging like hell. How is this even legal?

I get 4 or 5 Fack emails from MacAfee every week, and they use the email address of the tax authorities ,belastingdienst.nl, I say they are criminals

DREADFUL AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Lack of customer service, took monies on auto renew out of my account without my knowledge, you can't request a refund from the UK even though their process and chat bot goes around and around in merry circles. I called 'customer service' as advised to only be met with that felt very much like a fraudulent call so I hung up. They called me back from an international number again, ringing alarm bells, so I blocked them. Do not buy what terrible service & product they are claiming to offer. I have had to hunt down an email address to manually request a refund.

I installed McAfee total protection on my MacBook Pro in December/24 and ran it daily -- thinking it was working. When I checked for viruses using ComboCleaner it found several threats after McAfee said my system was clear. I ran comparison tests several times with the same result. When I called McAfee to get a refund they refused saying I was past their 30 day refund limit. It can take more than 30 days to run several comparisons to test an antivirus program. I would not recommend McAfee as an antivirus watchdog program. Run ComboCeaner every day or so, that will do the job.

Month later and I'm still getting emails from mcafree they still hounding with emails with stuff like suspension of account I never ever subscribe to these at all I'm seeking harassment advice from a solicitor as I had enough

I had this subscription for a few years. This year the VPN blocked my iPad from accessing the internet. After I removed McAfee, I was able to access the internet. I decided to cancel my subscription earlier this week. The renewal is not up till April 12, 2025. Yet, today, they attempted to bill my credit card for the annual renewal. My credit card suspected the charge to be fraudulent, and they alerted me. I said no to the purchase, and it was cancelled. How very corrupt is this practice. I'll never return to McAfee.

As with many others, I am fed up with McAfee and am looking to remove it due to them being my biggest disruption. Repeated popups trying to get me to buy more of their products.
All they do is make me hate McAfee. Especially when customer service says they can't be turned off and are there to help me. I just want to scream. They feel like a scam merchant.

Thank you to all who have left recent reviews since Dec 2024. I count on Trustpilot and other honest reviews on the limitations of a company that I used to do business with. Will NOT be using McAfee anytime soon, and their leadership must improve its business model fast and return people's money quick before they go out of business based on their poor reputation.

McAfee total security every week showing warning pop ups about finding something wrong with registry, security, junk files and so on... That is of cause needs urgently to buy some other soft from McAfee as the Total means nothing in the McAfee world.

Took £95 from my bank on an expired debit card for a '5 device package' that I didn't want (via their Sly Auto-Renewal Subscription).Despite several phone calls no Refund received. They eventually Blocked my phone. I've told My bank to Block any further attempts from McAfee to take Payment. Shame on You McAfee!

Bought a new hp laptop which had a short date McAfee antivirus installed. I preferred a different antivirus/ security but McAfee kept sending requests to renew coverage but with NO pricing quoted. Later offered 10% discount but again no details of cost or cover. Really turns me off Mcafee. Will never even look at them as an option in future. They just hope for a lazy customer renewal. Shame on them.

It came pre-installed with my new laptop. I would get pop-ups so often that I uninstalled it in less than a week due to it being unbearably annoying. But even after uninstalling, I still get pop-ups?! I had to manually find and download a REMOVAL TOOL to (hopefully) finally get rid of it. All that for a piece of software I wasn't even interested in owning in the first place. Absolutely insane.

McAfee is known for being extremely difficult to cancel and will gladly charge you more when speaking to an agent than they charge on their own website. I have called them a scam for years and have rarely, if ever, had a conversation with them when I walked away not frustrated and furious. Will be going Norton or another service when I am able to get away from their..... let's call it: corruption.

Why are you showing commercials about locating fraud or spam when I get about 2 emails a month telling me you are charging my account over 300 to renew. I don’t have this so stop sending scam emails!

I was considering using performance boosting software for my laptop but am reluctant after many incidents with the blue screen of death appearing due to the software messing with the registry.
Despite renewing my internet security in December I was pestered by an advert from McAfee to boost my laptop’s performance and at an offer. There’s nothing to say it was only up until December as subscriptions are generally for year.
So the discounted offer was a bit of a con with it being for under 10 months up until the internet security subscription runs out.
I have finally decided to finish with McAfee and look somewhere else.

I paid $206.69 on July 4, 2024, for a 2-year subscription (to August 26, 2026) to McAfee's anti-virus "Total Protection." In December 2024 what Best Buy's Geek Squad called "McAfee's overly aggressive blockers disrupted my ease of use and caused my entire operating system to crash." They said the older system had been "compatible but the newer version is no longer functional." Geek Squad removed McAfee from my computer on December 13, 2024 (five months of a 2-year subscription). Two days later on 12/15 I emailed McAfee and asked for a refund covering the period 12/13/2024 - 8/26/2026.
McAfee ignored me entirely, just keeping all my money,
