Service and Product are still number one, but loacation service on my 4 Devices are often not avaible and functionalliy so that it can takes more than one day to update a Location from a device. I dont know why i am spending 14€ esch month for no functionalitys like i will pay for... this is killing any positive feeling with bitdefender and your products that i have in last years, with this problem by this year in may account, so it give me fully negative feelings. Sorry! Stay healthy! Sincerly Mr Wanders

When a query or a problem arises, Bitdefender are only a phone call away, which is answered quickly; then everything is dealt with efficiently by knowledgeable staff. That is just as important as the fact that I believe they provide the best protection available.

BitDefender came with a refurbished used ThinkPad I bought on a limited budget. BitDefender was easy to start, easy interface to understand at first try. Initial scan was fast, log results were concise and useful. Three files removed were identified not as malware but useful items to remove.

Light load on the system and most of the time dependable. A bug with disappearing tray icon is a minor inconvenience once support pointed out how to update manually without it or depend on the auto update interval that can be customized without needing the tray icon.

Bitdefender corporate hypocrisy instead of owning their commercial mistakes.

I pruchased a license from a reseller for bitdefender for a product TOTAL SECURITY. They told me it is described on Bitdefender website. It turns out the same name is used on their website to describe something else. so after i activated it it turns out password manager is not included.

When i contacted support, they told me it is a different version and they are not responsible for their resellers although they named it exactly the same and there is not indication of new or old version and using the SAME NAME of the product.

It was surprising that they do not own up to their obvious mistake of commercial clarity by simply naming the product of different versions the same name. Yet they were rude enough to simply make it at the reseller's fault that they cannot do anything about. Their policy does not allow them to fix it etc..

The reseller will not refund it because it was activated and guess what the reseller put the policy blame of no refund on the Bitdefender vendor. So pure corporate hypocrisy.

I simply told them that this is the end of Bitdefender for me and my organization.

I would recommend Norton 360 or Kaspersky to be a better option and i would go with them on renewal for sure.

Terrible product and customer support

In my opinion, Bitdefender is a scam regarding their subscription process.

I purchased their $29.99 yearly plan good for one year. After installing on my pc and android phone, I found out it would not work on my Fire Tablet, and every time I tried to get it to install on my phone, a pop up stated I needed to purchase a more expensive subscription. I tried and tried to get in touch with their customer support but was disconnected after being transferred twice, on hold for over 15 minutes!
Do not buy this "security"!!!

Makes it supper difficult to install on…

Makes it supper difficult to install on other computers as they want your email so they can charge you 3 times as much when they auto renew and you forget to turn it off
This is the only reason they force you to use an email address and make it impossible to put on other computers without one

Problem extending existing license

I have been using Bitdefender for years both personally and on our church account with no issues until today.

I noticed on Amazon that they had a special offer for a 10 devices which I bought for our church. At the moment we only have 5 devices active and my intention was to extend the license period of the current 5 devices and add more devices to the account.

Followed the instructions and went to the "My Subscriptions" web page and clicked the "Upgrade" button which produced another web page where the only option available was to buy another subscription which was useless to me as I already have a new subscription purchased from Amazon.

I went back to "My Subscriptions" and the only other option was to press the "Activate with Code" button. This produced an entirely new subscription section, with no option to extend existing licenses, with 10 vacant licenses for new device allocation.

It appears that extending existing licenses is a thing of the past and if you want to keep existing licenses active then auto renewal is now your only option.

This in my opinion is very short sighted and denies loyal customers the option to take advantage of discounted offers on licenses to extend their subscription and forces existing customers to either purchase new licenses via the "Upgrade" button or to go down the auto renewal route both of which cost more and is clearly designed to benefit Bitdefender and not existing customers.

With regret when my personal and church subscriptions expire I'll be looking elsewhere.

VPN worthless

VPN worthless, is set to connect automatically but have to log in every time. If I then log in with a verification code I am sent back to the first login page to enter my email address and then my password is not recognized. This happens regularly, you can not send an email to that club either, so worthless.

Horrible support

I found the customer support very uncaring and useless. I was lied to in an email to resolve and issue, followed all the steps as well as wasting 3 days of time trying to resolve a simple issue. Did what they recommended and then they turned around and said a link they sent me was incorrect and I had to do the process all over again. Don't waste your money on this product, especially if you want support and not be lied too. As you've asked the Ticket Chat is 1010086283 and 1010084993. My contact details are on them.

Terrible Product & Even Worse Customer…

Terrible Product & Even Worse Customer Service!

I purchased Bitdefender's Small Business GravityZone subscription and have been struggling to activate it since day one. After multiple attempts and three frustrating calls to tech support, I received zero effective assistance. Only on my last call was I finally told that someone else would have to be contacted via email—why wasn’t this mentioned sooner?!

At this point, I have zero confidence in both Bitdefender’s product and their customer support. The experience has been a complete nightmare—slow responses, no real solutions, and an overall lack of professionalism.

I am demanding a full refund because I refuse to waste any more time on software that doesn’t work and a company that doesn’t care. Avoid this product at all costs!

DANGER Beware of Auto renewals.

I have been using Total Security for two years. Essentially a good product. However....
SecurePass was added to Total Security after my purchase in 2022. An active subscription does not upgrade you to the current version with SecurePass, and you WILL be automatically billed for Total Security without Securpass rights (even though you receive no discounted price for the lesser product.
This is purposely hidden from subscribers and requires you to cancel auto-renew, and purchase Total Security again (per BD tech support).

If You Want To Lose The Will To Live - Use Bitdefender

This shower are recommended on Google search ... No doubt the worst antivirus I've ever used ... Their home screen is absolutely useless & you can't even change scanning schedules ... Right now I'm doing a "Quick Scan" - time so far 2 hours 25 minutes & still going ... Biggest problem is it slows my laptop right down ... Stay clear of Bitdefender

Bitdefender and Experiences

I really do not know what to say. Bitdefender Total Security was recommended to me by an IT professional and I decided to give it a try. When gaming, even with the "settings set," my games would lag, freeze, crash or not launch at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled per suggestion of Bitdefender and the problems got worse. In the end, I had to format 2 separate computers, to undo all the issues the suite caused due to testing the software on them for diversity.

The password manager is absolutely terrible. Sometimes, it just fails to function.

The email scanning feature is untrustworthy.
It flags emails I manually reviewed as safe which were not and flags other emails as dangerous which are not - this could lead to an unexperienced user to believe in a false sense of security.

If you decide to install this - make a backup first.

IF this software functioned as it is described it would be THE all inclusive solution for computer security at a reasonable price.

In the end, if you make music, game, or develop I cannot in good consciousness recommend this software at all.
